Arts Festival Pictures!

Over the last week there has been an Arts Festival here in Galway. There have been amazing shows every night, concerts, street performers, and a parade. The atmosphere down town is incredible, with everyone just out to have a great time! I went to the parade on Sunday and thought I'd share some of the pictures I took. The theme was the Flowing River and the costumes blew me away!

Its a Girl!

I am SO excited to share the news that little baby Ruby Reid Fitzgerald-Keegan joined the world early in the morning on July 25 to two amazing parents, Andrea and Mike. I can barely express how excited I am to meet little Ruby when I get home in December!
Sending her and her parents all the love in the world!

May you always have love, laughter, and adventure in your life little one!

Banana Hammocks Back in Style?

Believe it or not, Galway (and most of Ireland for that matter) are in the midst of a bit of a heat wave. Starting late last week and continuing still the skies have been blue and the temperature hit the high 20s. Its fabulous! I was at the beach on Saturday afternoon and ended up getting a little more rosy then I would have liked.
Unfortunately while relaxing on the beach I was forced to look at numerous men who for some reason believe that Speedos are back in style and that they should wear them! Now I am not a huge fan of the Speedo unless you are wearing it in a swimming competition, and am especially not a fan when you are a really skinny white guy...Or a fat guy either...Seriously...Never wear a Speedo! I beg you!

Spoiled

I had a great weekend visit with Aunt Judy who had a lay-over in Limerick on Saturday and was once again spoiled! I was lucky first because Sinead lent me her car for the night so I wouldn't have to take the bus! Then when I arrived at the hotel (yup...Hotel...nice clean sheets, free towels, a down duvet, free tea in the room! Heaven!) Judy gave me the mother of all home-sick packages including a Mickey of Canadian Club, a bottle of Clamatoe juice, a bottle of vinegar, a bunch of vinegar packets (for when I'm out and about!), some Reactin for my horrific allergies, and some Ketchup Chips!!! I couldn't believe it! Then Grandma had sent along some earrings that she got me at the amethyst place in TBay! I was overwhelmed!
But the best part was spending the night with Judy and really having an opportunity to get to know each other better. It was so nice and it gave me a little Canada fix because I was starting to feel a little homesick.

I am so spoiled to have such an amazing family!
